About Us

Mission: Conservation of Coptic heritage for the future generations in a digital format and translating it to multiple languages to make it accessible to the whole world.

Vision: Create online digital book and multimedia library including all available public domain materials to conserve Coptic heritage. The library will be translated from Coptic and Arabic into English and other languages to be accessible to the public and academics.

Coptic culture is an extension of old Egyptian heritage extending from the Pharos era till this day. Monasteries and churches in Egypt are treasuries of innumerable manuscripts, icons and architectural designs many of which are accessible only to a few numbers of academics in the field. Language barrier in addition to remoteness make the physical access to those treasures very limited. Coptic language, Coptic arts and music, archaeology, literature are currently studied in Coptic and Arabic which is the current language of Copts in Egypt.

Coptic Treasures Ltd, a not-for-profit organization located in Brisbane in QLD, is aiming at conservation, enhanced access and translation of resources in Coptic or Arabic to English and other languages. It aims at conserving the Coptic culture for the coming generations in a digital format to remove the barriers of accessing such a material. Translation to English will further enhance access to those material by not only Copts in Australia, but also all academics and researcher who otherwise struggle to access such a resource.

Online library has been created by Coptic Treasures Ltd which includes a multilingual website, an Arabic website, YouTube channels and a SoundCloud channel. This multiplatform library currently includes thousands of books, articles and audiovisual resources in different languages. All material has been made available from the copy right owners or falls in the category of public domain.

The organization aims to provide a free of charge access to resource via online platforms and social media in English and other languages.
